About the Art

Jim's art is done in a multi-media

method

. After sketching and transferring the subject to illustration

board,

the basic colors are applied with Pantone 'Tria' markers. Rendering and details are then added

with Prismacolor

pencils. Large tonal areas such as skies are usually painted with Gouache (opaque

watercolor.)

The originals take up to two weeks two complete.
